Saturday Workouts in Griffith Park

If you live in the Los Feliz or other surrounding areas of Los Angeles ...Get a jump start on the weekend with a morning "Workout in the Park" for any fitness level.   The workout includes cardio, flexibility and strength training.  The workout will use tires, weights, bands, medicine balls, kettle bells, and much more.  There will be a section on warm-ups, stretching, cool-downs and a variety of fitness drills to challenge any fitness level.

          

Here are the details:

  • Location:     Griffith Park (Crystal Springs Picnic Area) Contact us 
                       through the website for specific directions.
  • Class Size:   Varies from 2 - 10  (I like to keep them small so
                        I can give more individual attention.  If the class
                        gets too large, I will add a class.
  • Days:           Saturdays, Sundays
                    

               
            IF sessions need to be canceled due to weather,
                       events going on at the park, park closure, etc.,
                       we will list the information on this site so be sure
                       to check the site often.  For those signing up in
                       advance, we will call you with any changes.  If
                       you sign-up to our mailing list, you will also
                       receive scheduling changes via email.

  • Times:         Saturdays 10am, 11am
                       Sundays  7am, 8am, 9am
                      
    If there is interest in later times, we will add
                       more time slots
  • Cost:          $15 per class (Ages 15-Adult)
                      $5 per class (Ages 7-14)
  • Package:     $40 (4) class package (Ages 15-Adult)
                       $12 (4) class package (Ages 7-14)
  • Payment:    Payment can be made in cash prior to the class 
                      or you can pay for one or more classes in advance
                      by credit card over the phone, prior to the class. 

                      There is no obligation to buy a package of classes. 

                      There are NO REFUNDS.  If you pay for classes in 
                      advance and miss a class, you only get one credit, 
                      which must be used the following week.
  • Rules:        New participants must fill out a participation form,
                      liability form, and emergency information card prior
                      to participating in the class.
      If you sign your child up
                      for the class, you must sign the forms for each child.  If 
                      you have certain health conditions, you may be required 
                      to have a doctor's approval prior to being able to
                      participate in the class.
  • Fitness       All levels are welcome.  I will adjust the program, 
    Level:         individually, to give each participant a challenging 
                      workout whether a beginner, advanced exerciser,
                      or somewhere in between! 
  • PETS:         For your pet's safety and all participants, your pets
                      ARE ALLOWED at the workouts as long as they are
         on a leash (and the leash is attached to a tree,
         bench, anchor, etc.) and are not directly in the 
         workout area.
  • Sign Ups:   After you sign up initially, you can attend the class
                      whenever you want.  Of course, the more you attend
                      the fitter you get!  Walk-ons are welcome as long
                      as I have your information on file.  All you do is call me 
                      the night before the work out, then you just
                      show up and pay the fee. 

                      Even though I welcome walk-ons, I'd appreciate a
                      call or email, especially from those not paying monthly.
                      This way I can plan on how much equipment to bring.
                      You can email or call me as late as the night before
                      the class.
